How to Join or Renew
New Members
Membership with the Yackandandah Riding Club provides insurance coverage through HRCAV. This includes 24/7 cover for riding members whilst involved in equestrian activities directly related to the disciplines offered by the HRCAV, as well as additional activities endorsed by the HRCAV.
Membership numbers are currently restricted as we have a high demand for membership and limited capacity to meet the demands of a large club.
The Committee will review each EOI at their monthly committee meetings. The Committee considers new membership requests based on a variety of criteria including current membership cap numbers, and information provided by the prospective member. Whilst the Committee does not have to provide reasons for the decisions made about membership, the Committee uses it’s best efforts to act ethically and in good faith.
If you wish to join, please email the Secretary to register your expression of interest.
The Secretary will advise applicants of the outcome of their EOI, and if approved, will provide a link to Event Secretary to complete the online membership form.
Membership Renewals
Membership renewals are completed online through Event Secretary and details will be emailed to all members in October each year once the HRCAV sets their fees.
Club Duty Requirements
To avoid all work being left to a small group of people, ALL YRC members are required to do a minimum of two duty sessions per membership year, of approximately 3 hours each. Failure to complete your duties may result in your membership not being renewed.
Duties can include (but are not limited to): attending working bees, helping out at rallies and competitions, volunteering in the canteen, assisting on a subcommittee etc. Please spare some time during the year to help and support our great club!
